Q4 2023 Performance of Top City Building Games on iOS in Europe

As the final quarter of 2023 wrapped up, the city building genre on iOS remained a competitive field in Europe. Data insights from Sensor Tower reveal how top titles fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Плюс Сити — симулятор города saw a fluctuating download trend, starting with 60K in late September and dipping to 14K mid-October, before climbing back up to 45K in early December. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 768K to 635K in October, then progressively reaching a peak of 912K in mid-December.

For SimCity BuildIt, revenue trends were strong, with earnings rising from $75K to over $125K in the second week of December. Downloads showed a gradual increase from 20K to almost 29K towards the end of the quarter. The game's active user base also grew steadily, ending at 263K weekly active users.

The Simpsons™: Tapped Out experienced a significant revenue spike in mid-November, reaching $278K, followed by a decline to around $64K by the year's end. The downloads peaked at 49K in late November but saw a decrease in December. Weekly active users had a high point of 263K in late November before settling at around 202K.

Global City: Building Games maintained a steady revenue with a notable peak at $15K in the last week of December. Downloads had a high of 17K in early October but decreased to 7K by mid-December, followed by a rebound to 11K. The game's active users saw a drop from 35K to 16K in November, before recovering to 20K at the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Isekai:Slow Life, which was released in August 2023, showed impressive revenue numbers, starting at $111K and seeing a high of $123K in late October. Downloads began at 30K but dropped to 4K towards the end of December. The weekly active users remained stable at around 33K throughout the quarter.
